Clarity
Clarity
You're too young to know
that you could suddenly go
tear stains darkened your velvet face
say mommy why did you have to leave
wasn't I enough to keep you?
ashes from an unfinished life
are all that's left
in a tear drop-shaped locket
hanging from her son's chest
oh clarity...I know His name is Jesus
walking along side me
years later I find myself sitting
at your doorstep
and so many years
you walked through oil
along a water stream
and maybe at times
you didn't even know it
but that my son was Jesus
oh clarity....I am finally calling out to you
I can see my ways
and I want to change them today
so for myself and momma
I want to welcome you into my life
all the anger has faded
the words of momma are whispering
boy when you gonna live right?
the question finally answered
no better time than now....
oh clarity...I know His name is Jesus
and in my heart now He is walking with me
