Fake smiles, fake laughs,
fake everything.
Put on a front
it won't change a thing.
Believe you can beat it,
Believe it will end.
Trust in yourself,
Be your own best friend.
Don't punish yourself,
The way that you do.
Your bigger than that,
Your not gunna lose.
You can do what ever you want,
when your mind is put to it.
Don't dive in head first,
Slowly go through it.
Fears thoughts and unkind words,
Is the dark side of yourself.
But don't you dare believe it,
Leave them on that shelf.
Brush your good thoughts down,
And push them to the front.
Don't be your own worst enemy,
I know that this sounds blunt.
Easier said than done,
i know this aswell as any one.
I have been through this many times before,
And i know it can be done.
Every day is a nightmare,
You think your life's a waste.
The sympathy that people give,
When in reality you need space.
You think your life is over,
When in truth it's just began,
For every tiny step you take,
You should be proud of all you've done.
For those who haven't experienced such,
It's hard to understand.
The way you act the things you do,
And the time's you choose to run.
Sometimes you feel your getting nowhere,
And you want to just give up.
But my advice to you would be,
Head high and keep on looking up.
Every word you speak,
When your talking about what went on.
The effectiveness and power,
Is what you have to hold on.
Believe in yourself,
Love honesty and respect.
You have got to believe,
And reach for the sky.
You have got to believe,
Lift your spirits up high.
You have got to believe,
Let no one stand in your way.
And deal with reality some day,
You have the courage to heal,
And courage does pay.
