Anxiety
Shadows dance inside my mind,
Infecting serenity from time to time
This is when I say a prayer
To the angels I can never seem to find
I breathe this reality so disturbed
Knowing that giving in would be absurd
But thoughts will cause this storm to appear
And in my fear, I will immerse
Palpitations now begin
As I hear the spirits of destruction
They Cause me to tremble and shake
Until streams of sweat dampen my skin
My eyes are open, but I see nothing at all
Grinding my teeth I start to fall;
Dizziness sets in strong
As I try to stand but can only crawl
I aspire to set my pain at ease
I scream out, someone help me please
But not a soul do I hear;
There is no one to save me
From the battle I wage against fear
