Email Poem | Today's Poetry

Who answers my all
When these doubts fall
Where were you, Mr. Ball
What did you think of my call

Why does he want my commitment
Because this life he fits in it
How does he know I say no for yes
Because he comes anyway doing his best

To try to love me
This silky girlie
As though a little monkey
Chattering and funky

Serve him coffee creamy hot
Serve up baseball shows and dinner
Let him be around what I've got
Where he knows he is the winner

Of this beauty I can be
Of this eccentric wanting the norm
Right here to be holding me
When I come out of the storm

Who plays out my wishes
Knows I like the giggles
Thinking doing dishes
How he sees my wiggles

Knows I am a dancer
Work all night and it's lonely
May not have all the answers
But when he does, he'll phone me

Accepts me depressed or elated
From sick in bed to when we've celebrated
Half undressed consummated
With flat affect or satiated...

...true today.
