So this is new...something a little different.I have never written anything on my site that was not based on pure reality;what I am experiencing or feeling to a T at the time I write it...but this is a collaborative effort created by myself, and Wayne Snow, just for fun, via e-mail.
We took turns writing lines, and this is a fictional piece. Please be sure to visit his site if you like this{mystuff2}-it is more his style of writing, and thanx Wayne for the project-it was fun
We two walked along the shore
On sandy beach we've been before
It is here a midst the ocean's breeze
One could fall in love in times like these
Modest waves on sand do break
For one's breath this scene could surely take
We watched the sun slowly fall
And gazed upon moonlight, no worries at all
Hand in hand, we walked into the sun
Knowing that our journey had only just begun
A lasting love that shall never die
Leaves an imprint in the sand where two lovers lie
He took her face in his strong hands
As the sun was setting above warm sands
The faint taste of salt was on her lips
As he caressed her face with his fingertips
The sweet smell of lilac lingered there
While in her eyes he continued to stare
They could not take their eyes away
They shared a vigorous embrace right where they lay
Happiness filled their minds with what life would bring
He took her lovely hand, and on it placed a ring
In bewilderment, she rose from the shore's serene sand
Now assured that forever, they would walk hand in hand
