A Great High Priest
We have a great high priest,
Reigns over man and beast;
Who has gone into Heaven,
Until judgment is given.
He's Jesus the Son of God,
To whom we honor and laud;
Raining His mercy and grace,
Down upon the human race.
Everything we have been told,
We must believe and to hold;
Being truth as God has said,
The blood of Jesus was shed.
Jesus knows every woe,
And weakness to every foe;
We are tempted by the lure,
By the sin behind the door.
So whenever of in need,
Jesus Christ is there indeed;
Never to face life alone,
Approaching in prayer His throne.
