"Will you be long"? I asked him one day,
"As long as it takes" I heard him say,
He turned and gave me a big long hug,
Took me by surprise but it felt real snug.
We chatted and smiled as we went on our way,
A million and one things we wanted to say,
Time was short and our parting came all too soon,
He`s as far away now as the man in the moon.
When I see that `cash machine` my heart does ache,
That is where we met and my heart he did take,
The union was right but the timing was wrong,
So my eyes will look for him and my heart will long.
