Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Can I take you there?

Can I take you there…?
To the place where your bomb explodes.
To that split second in time when all is quiet.
Mothers with children…
Children with grandparents, Shopping.
Traders, trading their goods,
Separate lives with hearts and souls,
And their beliefs or disbelief with God
Walking side by side.
Can I introduce this mother of two?
Before you blow her and her children
Into just red meat on the sidewalk.
Can I persuade you to ask her name?
Before a crime that's so insane
Will destroy her and so many innocent others.
Can I take you there…?
Not to die as limb is ripped from limb
with blood running so deep as to drown any life that may have survived.
But to watch the pain you have caused to others.
To force you to watch the barbaric rituals you live by,
While leaving us to only cry in dismay.
Let me take you there…
I will change your life forever.
