Eternal ticks the hands of time
Never ceasing its downward climb
Mere mortals fear its onward flow
Claiming our lives as it goes
Will time ever stop to take a rest?
We'll never know to prove that test
Centuries pass before its eyes
The future is nigh don't be surprised
Stand guard!
Times marches on!
Stand guard!
Time waits for no-one!

Once time passes it's gone away
The minute that time slips through our hands
Time runs out just like the fine beach sands
