Heavenly Vision
I looked and saw an open door,
While I walked along the shore;
Inside I saw interwoven,
A stairway leading to Heaven.
Then a voice speaking unto me,
“Come on up here and you will see;
Exactly what the future holds,
Wrote in the plan as it unfolds.”
I felt the Spirit take control,
Going up of my very soul;
Guiding me up along the stairs,
To the place I could see some chairs.
At the top I could see a throne,
Setting by itself all alone;
Precious stones just as a rainbow,
Shining with such a brilliant glow.
It was Christ my Lord sitting down.
And on His head wearing a crown;
On His lap there was a large book,
Telling me “I never forsook.”
