Missing You

I miss you now
though years have passed
wasn't hard to tell that it wouldn't last.
you'd been joking all along
and about you I was wrong.
I didn't know your type indeed,
you being of a different creed.
You didn't care, it was all lies,
my broken heart and late night cries.
I fell for your tricks and
played your game,
It changed my life
I may never be the same.
I wish I'd known before too late
that my behavior would cause you hate.
It's easy to say how I feel,
I still miss you and that's for real.
