 My Life In Words

BedTime Poem

The day is ending,
the shadows are here,
The song is fading
there is nothing to fear.

I will hold your little
hand and keep you from
harm,
I will give to you a new
song and wrap you in all
my charm.

The darkness will fade
into daylight,
When the sun sneaks over
the horizon shining
bright.

Sweet dreams will follow
you into the day,
And the shadows of laughter
will may you gay.

So lay your head gentle
on your pillow,
And listen to the breeze
as it softly will blow.

Close your eyes and those
sweet dreams will come again,
And welcome you home just
like a long lost friend.

And I will hold you til
you fear no more,
The dark shadows will stay
on the other side of the
door.

And with the rising sun
you will find me here,
To hold you and kiss you
for you are so dear.
