Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
Journey Through The Universe
On a brilliant and warm blue evening,
I took a stroll along the Milky Way.
The cool brilliance of the stars touched me,
as they lit my path in the dark skies.
Along the way I sat upon the vapory rings of Saturn.
Took a picture of the man on the Moon,
and skated across the icy surface of Pluto.
Upon the mountains of Mars I watched the
comets streaking past,
took a leisurely rest on the plains of Neptune,
and camped on Jupiter for the night.
Early in the morning as the sun rose over the Earth,
I beheld the glory of Venus, and watched the shadows
blanket the plains of Mercury.
I merrily skipped moon rocks off the asteroid belts and
jumped happily over the moons of Uranus,
and admired the lights of Orion's belt.
'Til at last my journey was through, and I journeyed back
to the warmth of the sun and took my rest.
