 Lying

Lying

It's a power that comes from deep within,
integrity can only come from a friend.
It's almost like an unwritten code,
that can't be bought or even sold.
My father told me not to lie,
I never really had to try.
Lies are easy for some to say,
yet they make you go astray.
Then lie after lie they often come,
to hide the truth from everyone.
After you've lied time after time,
you don't even know your own mind.
You start living the lies as they were real,
not really caring how others feel.
One day the lies will torment you,
and you'll feel the pain the others knew.
