Together and Below
You've been cut up
Spit on
Pushed around
You've fallen hard on that bitter ground
You've fought back tears
All Alone
Tried to run far away
And still remained unable to escape
You wait for someone
To lift you up
Terrified that you'll never make it
Taking more punches where you've already been hit
You feel like giving up
Giving in
What's the point, you say-
Life is too damn hard this way
Dreams haven't come true for you;
Vanished happiness
Every day is the same
You wake up to dark clouds…leaving you in shame
You've taken one step forward
Countless steps back
You really have to go
But the direction remains unknown
You bottle it up
All the pain
But I know you too well
And I've been with you in Hell
Where no one is around
Life is dead
Where your prayers remain unanswered
And there is no such thing as moving forward
Now I lie there with you
Tears fall
Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide, no sun
On that dark and bitter ground
Immersed in rancid pain
I've come to lie beside you
Because, Darling, you're not alone
