 A Blue Cockatoo
A blue cockatoo
From Uluru
Flew all the way
To Timbuktu.
A kangaroo
Whose name was Lou,
Smiled and said,
"How do you do?"
The blue cockatoo
From Uluru,
Was wearing a pair
Of new blue shoes.
The kangaroo
From Timbuktu
Suddenly raced
To the nice new loo.
The blue cockatoo
From Uluru
Wanted to go
To the new loo too.
Right by the loo,
Stood a tall ewe
Whose name was Sue.
The ewe called Sue
Said "How do you do?"
Are you looking for
The loo with a view?"
The Cockatoo
And the kangaroo
Called Lou,
Held their bellies
And both said, "Phew"
The ewe cried, "OO,
What, you too,
Did the two of you
Eat too much stew?"

Joy Weare.
29th May, 2007

This was written for my class to help
them learn all the different ways of
writing the 'OO' sound.
It is pure nonsense of course,
but that is what kids love!
