Dirty Looks
Dirty Looks
Everywhere I go
I'm given dirty looks
People all around me
They act like I'm some crook
They don't even know me
Can't see what's deep inside
If only they would take the time
It's then they'd realize
That I am very quiet
I'm better by myself
But if you get to know me
I have so much to tell
I try to not prejudge
I give everyone a chance
But people walk on by me
Without a helping hand
Everywhere I go
I'm given dirty looks
They're only concerned about
The cover of this book
They don't seem to care
About what is inside
They don't really care
If I lived or died
