 ramblings and things

Hattie Hok's whacking paw
Smacks Tigger across the rump
Who responds with a hiss
And a sort of startled jump;
Then they leap off the bed
Thunder up and down the stair
Underneath the dining table
Skid around an easy chair.
I bet I've left a cup of coffee
Just by the kitchen door
Which by now will be pooling
Across the kitchen floor.
I stagger from the bed
In uneasy type of mood
To answer the howls
For food food food;
Slight variations, though
The end result is the same,
As my two cats play
Their daily waking game.
It's an onerous task,
A bit tiring at that,
Being the appointed human
Of the resident ruling cats
