Four Star Hotel Room

A four star hotel room,
Cool crisp cotton sheets,
Another small town,
With unbeknown streets,
A room with a view,
Of the river below,
The motorway fast,
But the traffic is slow,

Relax for a while,
Give the laptop a spin,
Give an airing to thoughts,
That whisper within,
No requirement for parchment,
Type it up on the screen,
Sat Nav on the dashboard,
I know where I've been,

I know where I'm heading,
My direction is clear,
For so much has changed,
In the space of a year,
Another hotel room,
A soft summer shower,
Make way to the venue,
We're on, in an hour,

Hands on for the healing,
A moment in prayer,
In a four star hotel room,
You watch me prepare,
We are loved, we're protected,
We're living the dream,
I am ready, I'm willing,
I am calm and serene.
