One Day Late and ONE Dollar Short
A poem begins with one word
usually a preposition A
On the way inn to town eye got a city bus
With money eye can not afford to spend
And stopped to utilize my day pass
for this rhymed with charlax
And eye have had much worse days
when walking is all eye could afford
today eye am still just one day late
and one more dollar short
But eye have fish in me and coffee
The phone call must have been too short
They skipped the change and left it in the slot.
Now scrounger is so hot.
Money in my pocket is just a coffee cup.
