Poems of Lighthouse Bob
Summer Splash #305
Summer Splash Warm summer sun come watch us run On sea swept salty shores And let's have fun as we've begun With passion to explore Rare treasures in dark caverns lost, Old lighthouse on the hill, Bleached seashells churned in waters tossed, Winged seabirds' caws and shrills… Warm summer rays come fill our days With joy and merriment And set ablaze our happy praise With sunny moments spent Entangled on sand mounded dunes, Exploring ship wrecked piers, Embracing ‘neath Poseidon's moon, Delighting in one's ear… Warm summer sky come take us high Above the atmosphere So we can spy the clouds go by And watch the fog draw near Low tide pools filled with creatures caught, Lost schooner out to bay, Proud patrons with the fish they've bought, The beach where children play… Warm summer wind come be our friend And fill us all with smiles So we can spend our journey's end In optimistic style Anticipating future days, Remembering the past Warm summer sun, rays, sky, and wind Which came and went too fast.
