Pagans

Nearly six thousand years since religion began
Yet we still act like Pagans whenever we can.
Fighting and killing a lust to see death
Fearing the most when it's close too our rest.
We still erect figures then bow to our knees
Hoping the Almighty or our boss is well pleased.
We think nothing at all if a stranger should die
Think nothing of the loved ones that mourn as they cry.
Religion was founded to teach us of one…
The one God Almighty and the work that he begun.
Yet we use it as a weapon… ‘We'll fight in God's name'
Never fearing the rainstorm… God's tears of our shame.
It seems we've learnt nothing from history's tale
Learnt nothing of loving… learnt only too fail.
For religion too work we must all preach the same…
They'll be no more killing… In my Gods good name.
