One Day
One Day
One day you gonna look at me
and realize what you missed
oh it won't be today
but I promise
you will remeber it....
One day the pain will come
from a life you could have saved
don't you see the sky is changing?
Becoming a ugly gray?
One day....not today
but I hope before it's too late
you kneel and finally pray
One day I might pass you on the street
and not miss a beat
because I realized I want to be happy
here and now....
You can't be my sour note
or my dark cloud
so one day....is just a penny
in the wishing well
and not today
but I know
sooner or later
the misery will end
oh what will there be left?
the future is funny like that I guess.....
One day....
the tides will meet
and what history holds
only then will it speak
