Anthem(The Other Class)
Sooner rather than later
come now to the city
to see the violence and hatred
you could try to make it better
never seen a welfare check
because your money is all you count
and the children are dying
and the politicians like you are just a lying
another pill to swallow
daring that any brave souls won't follow
the anthem for us
the words you shouldn't be shocked
you gave us....
to the system
to the red tape
to single mothers
with three jobs
and poverty they can't escape
how you have tightened the rope
solutions not good enough
watch as we choke
Sooner rather than later
I want answers
not in a nice, fake signed letter
I want you to walk in my shoes
than show me how better
should I do....when you take
all that I make almost
and say it's taxes
using in God we trust
it's all just another day in the office
just numb to it....does't even feel corrupt
to the standards
that not's up to par
to you Mr and Mrs Senator
you promised better
wasn't that your job?
let us be late 10 minutes
there goes our pay
but you with no rules
oddly enough make our laws
