A Thief in the Night
I do not write to pass the time,
What a waste as well as a crime;
There is purpose on what I write,
Reason for walking in the light.
A thief in the night Christ returns,
That is when everyone learns;
Exactly what will be their fate,
If passing through the narrow gate.
Some think they are safe and secure,
Because they are feeling for sure;
Had been doing all that they should,
Passage to sacred brotherhood.
Destruction will suddenly hit,
Within the list their name omit;
Like pain of women giving birth,
For finding out of their true worth.
But in the dark we do not live,
For our flaws He will forgive;
That day will not be a surprise,
And we will not be in demise.
