FISH BOWL OF SEA

There's a round fish bowl
On a cabinet half full
With sand from
San Francisco
By the Golden Gate Park
Across from
Alcatraz.
There are blue teardrops
Mixed with broken shells
Found among the straws,
Cigarette butts,
Napkins, candy wrappers,
And plastic containers.
There are two pieces of
Driftwood brought
By the Pacific Ocean
One's nest-shaped
Number two is as a
Free bird whose
Flying away
Back to San Francisco
Out of this fish bowl
Where birds drown.
