I`ve just left someone who is dying
Her children around her all crying,
So much grief so much sorrow
Knowing their Mum won`t see tomorrow.
I gasp for air as I step outside
Wiping away the tears that I cried,
I felt claustrophobic sitting there
In the unforgiving plastic chair.
Sitting waiting for someone to die
It is a hard thing I can`t deny,
Your mind wonders back into the past
While waiting for them to breathe their last.
Good times and bad times pass thru` your mind
All you hope now is that peace they find,
You hope that God will lead the way
And in his loving arms forever lay.
He must come quick to ease all their pain
Then in the house of the Lord they`ll reign,
Meeting their loved ones who went before
Eternity is theirs that`s for sure.
Her soul now free her pain left behind
Peace and comfort her children must find,
She will live on in their hearts you see
She will be their loving memory.
