Absent Minded
Great Big Hiding Place (Grande Cache)
In the mountains was a plateau
on this plateau was a town
unknown to the townsfolk
one of the children among them
would grow to be the one to be sacrificed to the gods three times
however the one could hide anywhere he wanted to
in time the boy grew to be a man
moved off the plateau to dream acres and lived at po box 6066
In his dreams the boy had revelations of his curse
for the bible made it clear that whenever the gods thought they found
his hiding place many were slaughtered
animals were sacrificed
men would go off to senseless wars
eventually from his hiding place
from under his rock he would have to come
and reveal the roses have many thorns
the labrynth did not hold him back
from the roses of death he was seeking
that would break his curse
When the gods believed him to be hiding in a human
the nonexistant crime scene was declared
and off to wars many did go
when the gods though he was hiding in an animal
sacrifices and tithes to the churches of animals
to appease the gods burnt offerings
The prince of the underworld
had told his sister of the world above
but never told her of his curse
or hers
the boy stayed in his hiding place
grew to be a man
waited to be uncovered
The muse was taunting and teasing him
driving his future to tears
for the prince of the underworld was a visionary
and could predict the best and the worst of all worlds
so from his hiding place he would be lured
From dream acres into the city he had to go
the muse kept teasing his dreams getting worse
reality no longer a friend but another wolf in sheeps cloth
he lit his room on fire
and into the city they took him
to see the judge that knew of him not
for four years he sat in the mental ward trying to cure his woes
of a world that reflected him
and the underworld dilemas of his sister held captive
awaiting his return
Sure he had tricks up his sleeve
and disappearing acts left behind
from two towns
but now on satellite
would this prince ever learn?
So this boy who dreampt of the future
and taunted by the muse
dreams and reality had told him
he was to be sacrificed to the gods three times
and would never be able to leave until he served his sentence
still unfound and many many before him mercilessly died
one saviour unnecissarily named
for his three deaths would change the world
but even though he loved the world he was denied
he hated the people deep inside
The man once a boy who had dissapeared from two other towns
was given a cat
he hid himself in a cat
a god afraid of being murdered
and the cat would myrh and murmur all it wanted
but go ask the witches with their familiars
why they were burnt at the stake
why was man was granted everlasting life
and why cats have nine lives
few truly know of this Grande Cache

But if the boy can fool your eyes twice
and disapear from public can he do it thrice?
should he join the circus or find somewhere better to hide?
