YOUR FAN

Twirling fast
Care to zoom
Does heat last
In your bedroom

Or is it cold
There this night
If you are old
To live the fight

Of blowing snow
Freezing streets
I do know
That when snow meets

With bare skin
You could cry
That's why it's such a sin
If people die

I understand more
From looking up your place
A city that's tore
By a Northern case

My poet makes his
About blankets and food
He writes how is it
That rich people are rude

When it's 40 below
And you're freezing
Then heat you know
Is the only thing pleasin'

Your fan comes from here
Where the weather is mild
To see her way clear
To Edmonton's wild

Sometimes only ignorance gets in the way
When Victoria's the closest thing you know of
Dream of walking paths lined with roses all day
While your Alberta's way North above

In the freeze
Without roses?
Just a tease
For our noses

Is all Edmonton desires
As men around the garbage burner
Warm themselves by the fires
Of Shadowfiend's learner...

Troy, when will I ever learn?
