Absent Minded
Guarding the other world
In the village outside the palace gates
the people did not know of the guardsmen
who slept on the mainfloor of the palace
bu thtat was not the bootom floor
Whenever there was a ruckus
the top floor
the bottom floor
would be alarmed
so today in the ghetto
landlords of apartment give better rent rates
to the people who live on the bottom floor
of every building for the king
the king from time to time could slide
from place to place from apartment to apartment freely
with his skeleton key
and penetrate every building for he knew the locksmith
this key was to protect the people and the king hid it in the wishing well
attached to the bottom of its bucket
that you could only get to at the centre of his maze
he had the map for in the centre of his mansion which was a maze of riddles
to unlock the code
which was all religious teaching
there was also a garden with statues
this garden and palace grew to become a village
grew to be a town
grew to be a city
towers were placed in the directions of the corners of the city
there was a cliff by the sea on one sided off the city
so on the other side of ther city for the blind they beat a drum
so the blind would never fall of the cliff
in this place the lottery was won every week
for it was a riddle to figure out the months secret winning numbers
that were strategically being foretold
by mensa geniuses who had a monopoly over luck in this way
to keep eachother entertained rich
prove to the world it could be done and to thereby teach math
Everybody was told that one day there would be a person
and he would stand out differently if they all played a game
of wearing tshirts in a certain different ordered game
to try to be the one different the next day
and the one who was left wearing the one different color
than everybody else
or the one standing out differently than everybody else
would be granted 3 wishes in their life
and then there was talk of the three perfect lives
of the gullible god and his curse
One day the prince changed places with another village boy and ran away
with another family to one day regain his throne
or have an ancient soul rwvisit where jhis longs to see
tyo no longer dream but be thrown from it
so in his apartment he has 2 mirrors of circles
a medusa mask hangs across from one
a portal mirror hangs across the third
the 5 clocks are set at different times
he thinks he lives ina musical world
as in every different room of his maze of his mansion
he has a stereo
each one playoing a piece of an entirely different puzzle
each stereo has a cd or three in it
or a tape or two and those are your puzzle pieces
but whats the right order?
and the book shelf is a strategic game of fortune telling
with its yesses and no's
its fates and possibilities
of maybes and possible futures
named after all the titles
and here i am a collector of oracles
and my house is a museum of cryatrsl balls and pendulums and
conspiracy thoughts written on Ouija boards
with friends of angels
and an enemy named satan
wondering about Jesus
and god's object to crave
why am i so involved listening to the way of love whispered in the winds
interrupted by survival of the fittest!
All the angels were mothers and fathers
who nailed their childrens windows shut until they reached
an older age
and they placed chimes by their windows so they would know
if someone was coming in
and many taught their cat not wait by the door
but if their cat waited by the door when they were home
they would believe someone was in their apartment when they weren't home
there was a big hiding place many were looking for but not many spoke french but
with the satan trap they wondered if the russians
or chinese psychic astrologers were russian in and seeing anything in the satan trap?
and the british drinking tea from their china glasses would laugh and ask
whats the price of tea in china anyway
for they were allies
during as ilent war in the country named canada
where no one knew anything but american culture
many talked of injustice but never gave it ameaning or could give direct examples
living life was like a backewards poltergeist
the walls would bang from down the hall
outside to in you could hear the neighbors
haunted all day
you could hear the sirens
youy could hear the screamong children
never a laugh
and at night there was a lot of murder
always on the news, the fires, the hostages,
the wars
the bad politicians
the innocent king
the story goes untold about reality
and no one picks reality apart
but as the politicians monger for war in the world lives a fairytale
and the fluctuation of the queen the prince the possibility of there one day beiong a princess
through birth
and he looks blackmailed story untold
innocent walking in and he can win
but how do you make your story grow unless you have a weapon like me?
now turn around and shake your hand
and allow me shift some paradigms in the music for the blind
and some who hear and see are dumb not knowing what to say but laugh
the people did not know of the guardsmen
who slept on the mainfloor of the palace
bu thtat was not the bootom floor
