A Righteous Prayer
I am guiltless O God,
Even though I am flawed;
Knowing I made mistakes,
Just as everyone makes.
But I beg for Your aid,
Because I am afraid;
Of some hidden things,
Only darkness brings.
My innocence You see,
In knowing the real me;
Because only Your eyes,
Sees through any disguise.
While knowing my heart,
My love for You impart;
Both in jubilation,
And in tribulation.
For you know what is best,
If I should or not be blest;
So I will continue to obey,
Through each and every day.
