My beautiful daughter (Shannon-Louise)
Shannon-Louise is special,
She really is my life.
She is everything to me,
She is what makes my life so right!
She is my little angel,
She makes my life complete.
She keeps me standing strong,
She keeps me on my feet.
She is the reason i stay strong,
She really keeps me going.
She is the reason i hold on,
She does so much without knowing.
She makes my life have meaning,
She really helps me see.
That there is so much here to live for,
She keeps me being me.
If i did not have her,
My life would be a waste.
But she makes me ever so happy,
Every time i see her smiling face.
I might of lost the battle,
But i will not lose the war.
My life was a mess,
But now I've got so much more.
I might of been a child myself,
When i found out i was going to be a mum.
She is the reason i can't hide away,
She is the reason i can't run.
I was sixteen when i had her,
But that does not make a difference.
I am as good as any mum,
We are sometimes more like sisters.
She's growing up so quickly,
And she needs me by her side.
To hold her hand tightly,
In this life so much like a roller coaster ride.
Just watching her playing,
And seeing her smile.
Makes me feel so happy,
knowing her childhood is so much better than mine.
She is my inspiration,
She helps me to thrive.
She is so intelligent,
And she is only five.
I will always protect her,
I will spoil her with love and care.
I will never let her down,
I will always be there.
Staying strong is not easy,
But with a child like mine.
I have nothing more to fear,
She is here with me all the time.
So next time i feel low and sad,
I'll sit and i will think.
I will not try to end my life,
I will not turn to drink.
I will stay strong for her,
I will fight this to the end.
Because she is not just my daughter,
She is my very best friend!
