Poems of Lighthouse Bob
If Ever I Forget #317
If Ever I Forget If ever I forget That Jesus Loves and Cares Take me to the valley The valley of despair And leave me in the deepest pit Where no one knows I'm there If ever I forget His blood was shed for me Take me to the garden Where anguished fallen be And let my heart hear none from God No answered prayer or plea If ever I forget The Death of Christ was real Take me to His scourging So pain He felt I'll feel And find no time in memory A time when I was healed If ever I forget The cup that Jesus bore Take me to the mountain To wear the crown He wore And let instead be pierced my head So I'll forget no more If ever I forget.
