Locked in Faith
I am a prisoner
Walking toward a Gate
Guided by the One
Who holds my fate.
I've been found guilty
Of obeying His Word
While mockers scoffed
And called me absurd.
Eternally captive
By amazing grace
Looking to the day
To see my Lord's face.
The face of my Shepherd
Who didn't let me fall
His voice whispered to me
And I answered His call.
I am well guarded
Fed with water and bread
A new life granted
For which He bled.
I cannot break free
There is no escape
Hidden in Christ
And locked in faith.
Christ holds the key
And my soul
Shaping me to be
Joyfully whole.

the testimony of our Lord, nor of
me his prisoner: but be thou partaker
of the afflictions of the gospel
according to the power of God;
