 HARDY'S DORSET.

Another verse from my extensive "Salisbury Tales" series.

Sherborne is the first born...
To be torn...
From the Holy Thorn...
Cranborne Chase...
Is just the place...
For those who love Salisbury's case...
Blandford Forum...
Loves Decorum...
While Dorchester...
Is so very port of Chester...
Godmanstone...
Is at home...
On his throne...
For all those...
Who wish to be alone.
Abbotsbury...
Is in a hurry...
To bury the hatchet...
With all those Thatchies...
Minterne Parva...
Has the Bravado...
To ride up White Hill...
To view Portland Bill.
Thomas Hardy...
Has got a rabbit...
With a cocaine habit...
While Cerne Abbas...
Has got a very good Hardy...
From a Yardie.
The Isle of Purbeck...
Is just so perfect...
While walking...
The path from the past...
Is a blast...
West bay...
Has those beautiful lazy days.
With all those sparkling rainbow lights...
Swirling around Lyme Bay...
Chisel Beach...
Is a peach for all those pebbles...
Rolling around like peccadillo's in heat.
Richard the third...
Has been known to be heard...
What slips from Ophelia's lips...
Tragic strips...
From Shakespeare round about trips...
In Horatio's wooden ships.
