 OSCARS TRAILS

Another verse from my extensive "Salisbury Tales" series.

Wotton-under-Edge...
Makes a pledge to go west...
While the Pilgrim fathers were laid to rest...
Upon the Mayflowers mighty chest...
Oscar Wilde...
Has a child...
That grew into destinies...
Flamboyant style...
Tetbury has its Woolley sheep.
While Westonbirt arboretum...
Makes you sleep in a wooden heap.
Somerford Keynes...
Is just as keen to ski...
Across the Cotswold park in the dark...
Tewkesbury...
Is heaven for the river Severn...
While the Cotswold way...
Snakes its way...
Around the pretty towns and mounds.
Chased by barking hounds...
Petty France...
Is just a candlelight romantic dance.
For a day trip...
To a port in Rene Descartes France.
Ampney Crucis...
Is so crucial...
To the Taming of the Shrew.
While Coln Saint Aldwyns...
Is "As you like it" on "The Twelfth Night"
While eating steamed pike...
On a cranky motor-bike...
