I was stationed in the state of Nevada in 1968 when I wrote this
while standing guard duty.
Endless
I watch the sun raise in early morn
It climbs the snow capped mountains
Through blue skies on its endless flight
It reaches its peak and heads for night
Watching it set on the desert plain
Fading slow like a dying campfire
Soon its gone and stars fill the night
Full sky of wonderful sights
Then the night is gone
I watch the sun raise in early morn
