LIFE WITHOUT A CELL PHONE
I'm sitting here trying to figure out,
As I sort through my thoughts all alone;
What in the world life was all about,
Before e'er we got the cell phone;
We did okay with one telephone line,
If someone phoned when we were away;
Everything would work out just fine,
They would hang up and call back the next day;
However, party-lines had to take the cake,
There was no privacy in any town;
That kind of service I could never take,
I can see smiles turned upside down;
The cell phone is a wonderful invention,
We can't live without them, that's the truth;
Nobody leaves home with the intention
Of not bringing our portable phone booth.
I'm sitting here trying to figure out,
As I sort through my thoughts all alone;
What in the world life was all about,
Before e'er we got the cell phone;
We did okay with one telephone line,
If someone phoned when we were away;
Everything would work out just fine,
They would hang up and call back the next day;
However, party-lines had to take the cake,
There was no privacy in any town;
That kind of service I could never take,
I can see smiles turned upside down;
The cell phone is a wonderful invention,
We can't live without them, that's the truth;
Nobody leaves home with the intention
Of not bringing our portable phone booth.
