Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god
No witness but the sky
I remember the rain falling.
Felt like hard glass
Slamming into my face.
I let it, didn't shield my
Eyes as the rain
Cut into them with such
Ferocity and vigor.
Blanketed in disappointment
And shivering in disbelief,
One step forward took me into
A grave, depth: six feet.
It was a muddy hole quickly
Filling up with what could
Have been sweat, tears or rain.
My tongue swells and fills
Up my mouth and I cannot
Get my words out without
Drooling and choking.
The sky darkened and stared
Down at me, the clouds
Pointing their fingers at me,
Menacing me, blaming me.
But I'm a child!
I let the sin overwhelm me,
I couldn't help it, I'm broken.
I was already breaking.
Callous fingers pluck
Destitution from the ground
And I wonder what kind of
Slut I'll incarnate to next time.
