starbucks moments...
man- across-
with paper-
and muffin
in his hand-
is drinking life-
with coffee-
outside of
it's demands...
couple-
in the corner-
smile and
sweetly chat-
wave their hands
so gently-
laugh at
this and that...
two girls-
share
their gossip-
in voices-
soft and low-
buzzing quick
and constant-
sipping life-
so slow...
bearded man-
in corner-
lost in
line and word-
thumbs his pages
swiftly-
each rustle
clearly heard...
boy- bending
at a table-
right in front
of me-
sketches with
precision-
and jots down
notes to see...
starbucks-
with sudoku-
drenched in
heat and steam-
thick- strong
coffee-
topped with
frothy cream...
sunshine-
through
the window-
splashes on
my back-
this starbucks
feeling-
fades out
all life's
flack...
