Absent Minded
Our poetry changes the world
I write
I'm a poet
or whatever i call these thoughts
whatever i call these ramblings
these revelations
these thoughts
these things i wonder about and share
I share my soul
and then i realise
i could have an impact on morew than just your sphere of influence
i could change the world
my world your world our world
because words are powerfull
but im actually thinking about unemployment
and how if i did work i prtobably would be too tired to think the way i do
too dull minded to wonder about what i do and share it
and if my writing is going to change this world
which could happen
could change your writing
could change your actions
if all i did was work 14 hours a day for money\
and not write to change the world
id never have the chance to change the world
my poetry is going to change the world
its going top make people think
you can show people it
its changing you
its working right now
and if i would have had a real job
one i actually got paid for
i wouldnt have time to do this
sure id be inspired
but id be tired
id be busy with stuff
it would be too late for when i retired id have a different agenda
my poetry is going to change the world
a starving artist activist
who if he would have had a real job
if you would have changed my life
nothing would have changed
everything would have been like yesterday
until i came around to change it when i was ready to retire to write
A starving artist is a blessing
and i know i am
you can help me change the world
to make people think
to make people feel
to help things become a reality
If i took back anything in my life
id still be a writer but not as much
id be too busy
too tired
too focused on something else
but im not
im here like an underpaid politician
not making a dime trying to change everythig
step outside of the world revolving around you
step outside of your box of all your thoughts of wanting things your way
and see how my way is pretty cool
step outside of your selfishness
and be selfless for me
and help my poetry change the world
and send me a letter so i can point to you in amystery for you to be uncovered
and the future will be a mystical place
and tomorrow that becomes today will be an interewsting place
my poetry is going to change the world
and yours is too

If i had a real job id be too tired to think

id be too oblivious
if i didnt write poetry
the world would never change
and here are the politicians listening to me
and im still underpaid
going on strike about to take away my free service
