I could give out pity, and the; oh woe is me!
But I'm afraid I can't, that's not acceptable you see!
If I show weakness then that doesn't bode good!
It will cause harm, and show the negative; as it would!
And I don't and wont do negative, that is not my way!
For I will always fight to survive and live another day!
No matter the trials and tribulations of my life!
I have always stayed focused, and beaten the strife!
And plenty of strife I have had, all my long day!
But hey, I did it, because I fight hard to stay!
I won't give in, lie down or go under!
Not until God decided to put me asunder!
And every day I awake, I thank Him for my life!
For making me strong enough to beat the strife!
And thank Him for giving me wisdom so true!
And the ability with words, to omit empathy through!
For isn't that what it's all about? Staying strong!
Fighting and giving support that people so long!
For I walk the walk, of many that's true!
If I have walked it, I can help you walk it too!
I say to people who are down and sad and blue!
Look at me; I am here cos I did what I had to do!
I go to bed at night, and thank God above,
For giving me my strength and for giving me His love!
For without Him I wouldn't be here this day!
And you know; that's so true! So that's why I pray!
And yes I pray every night, no matter if I'm mad,
Cos I get mad at Him, cos sometimes I'm sad!
But I guess it's allowed, with the sights I have seen…
The sadness of people, whose walks I share and I've been!
Cos some walks I've had, trust me true…
Have beaten me down, and made me so blue!
But I never gave up the fight, and never will I…
The only time that will happen is on the day that I die!
And I will still be fighting; I'm as stubborn as I am true!
And anyway, it's another thing I'm good at too!
Fighting the fight, I walk the walk…that's true!
And you have to be like me, and believe in you too!
Cos anything less won't do!
