Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Caught my eye (on a nail)

The tears are cliffhangers,
Just waiting to fall and hit
The ground with a soft explosion.
Realization glistens like dew,
Twinkling and glaring in my general
Direction, expecting the something
I just couldn't deliver to them.
I couldn't fake it through the morning
So I lied through the evening
Until I couldn't keep reiterating the
Same damn falsehoods to eyes that
Would either cry or never understand.
