Aging GracefullyWith an ocean of lotion and a stream of cream, I'm ready and armed for my face to be gleamed. Wrinkles, age spots, tanning and firm. "Sweaten to the Oldies" with the promise that fat will be burned. Manicure, pedicure, color and wax, a day at the spa you really relax. A Red Hat and a Tea Bird, I give you my word, that a good time and laughter will always be heard. Duchess of Tutor, my Red Hat Surname, Featherfully yours, Peacock's my name. Frequent travel I'll get up and go, packing a suitcase, I'm becoming a pro.Packing light means one outfit a day, always never comes out that way. Clothing, makeup, jewelry galore and still at the last minute I run to the store. Always afraid there won't be enough and ends up accoumulating in to stuff. Buttons into earrings and earrings into pins, has my jewelry drawers filled to the brims. Not to mention my closet filled with "nothing to wear", it's amazing I can find anything in there. Shoes is another, so many styles and color, with purses to match "is there really any other"? I'm a high maintenance woman doing my best, to blend in just a little above the rest. Staying low key is really my style, I prefer to sit back, listen and smile. Aging gracefully is what I have planned, for life is too short to be grumpy and bland. Live, love and laugh for today, for tomorrow is another day. Start out fresh when you get up to play, just remember to do it your way. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
