I have searched for enlightenment
and asked questions of this life…
only too be confused with every answer.
I have searched for love knowing this was true…
Only to have my heart torn from my chest
and left beating each new day in vain.
I searched also for a greater knowledge
Wanting so much to know more…
Only to be saddened by all that I understood.
Companionship has also been my quest
Someone to share this journey with me…
But loneliness has always been my closest companion.
I have searched far and wide for my dreams
And laughed with many happy faces…
But still I am searching….???
