Heart Of The Matter

A Well Loved Stranger!

A well loved stranger,
Moved into this town,
Caught us off guard,
Our defences were down,

A real story teller,
With grit on his hand,
He spoke of the things,
We can all understand,

He opened his heart,
And let it all flow,
The hurt in his past,
He just let it go,

He writes of his family,
Of days now long gone,
An eye for the ladies,
Serving beer with a song,

Gave up on the beer now,
The dark smoky places,
Each morning he wakens,
Each day, he embraces,

He comes over as sensitive,
Vulnerable too,
Hello, Mr. Bridger,

How do you do?
