 GHOSTS OF EDWARDS JENNERS SEVERN

The Mighty Severn Bore...
Will flood your kitchen floors.
As surfers...
Crest the waves...
In Bristol's narrow water-ways.
Milk Maids are a brash...
To giving you a nasty rash.
As Edward Jenner...
Will give you a prick...
With a blunt cow-pack stick.
Cheltenham...
Stands proud amongst the clouds.
While Slimbridge...
Is full of colourful wild fowl.
Majestic Tewkesbury Abbey...
Is at the mouth of the river Severn.
Taking day-trippers all the way up...
The stairways of heaven.
Nympsfield crows nest...
Is a birds eye view...
To eat your mama's homemade stew.
Gliders...
Floating as light as feathers.
Like little horny devils...
The Cotswold Way...
Slithers and slides all the way...
From Chipping Campden...
To Prinknash Abbey...
Which will make your mother-in-law...
Extremely happy...
As she is caring for the baby...
In Eco-sappy nappies.
Bridges apart...
Touching each land...
From Cwmbran to Lands end...
Are such dear friends.
I've read Shelley to Shakespeare...
Tolkien from cover to cover...
Underneath my bedroom shutters.
I've watched...
Every episode...
Of Monty Pythons Flying circus...
Said the Hardy American...
I still don't get it....!!!
Ah.....yes...
Said the ghost...
Of memories past...
It is all in the head...
Following this harmonious thread.
Unless you are...
Completely dead...
Still asleep...
In your cosy bed!
