Poems of Lighthouse Bob
Open Vessel #318
Open Vessel Once stumbled on a vessel tossed Upon the brazen sea Of people worn and people lost With souls like you and me A vessel with a message shown A message stripped and bare A message that stood all alone Which no one could compare I thought it most unusual Most special yet most odd That something viewed as usual Could intervene with God Who brought forth such fulfillment sought By royalty and kings Though certainly would not be bought By monetary means I found an open ventricle A message from the heart A message that was integral To every piece and part When found an open vessel tossed Upon the brazen sea With message shown that from the cross Christ shed his blood for me. God bless, Lighthouse Bob |
