Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Whose truth?

Whose truth am I listening to?
While growing and learning each day.
When I was young I was told to be good…
Good was always the right way.
But then I saw that good could be bad
It depended on whose side you're on.
Looking through my eyes the problem seemed clear…
We all needed to be one.
I listened more true each day that I grew…
Learnt of religion and our relationship with God.
There was so many to choose with so many views
I felt lost and confused with the lot.
All spoke of love but so loved too hate
Some preached that it's ok to kill.
The truth that was one… was a lie to another
The truth always lost in blood spilled.
So what is the truth and how will I know?
Cause I know up to now I've heard lies.
the truth must be what lies fail to see…
that honesty is the road we must try.
