I have a little tale to tell…
So please Miss, sit quiet, please!
You have to concentrate on the words,
So don't you cough or sneeze!
Now Olivia told me a little tale,
All about her teacher, that's you!
And told me many things, oh, she did,
About what you say and do!
…She Said…
You went to Kenya on holiday,
But dear me, you hated that, a lot!
You showered with a jug and bucket,
And the weather was very hot!
You told us you like parties,
And you'd do anything to go away,
Cos you love holidays, yes you do!
You tell us this nearly every day!
When you get some sweets Miss,
Pou pretend they're all for you!
Then you share them out with us,
Cos you say getting fat won't do!
You learn us different things in school,
Every single day,
We learn about Kenya and Africa!
And you learn us about the UK.
And we do things all the time,
By messing up our classroom!
So you shout; ‘Tidy up and shut up;'
'Or you won't be going home soon!'
And you really love your jewelry,
Cos you told us this in school again!
But now you won't teach me anymore,
And I really think that's a shame!
And now you are going to another school,
Over in Birkenhead,
So you wont be in our school anymore,
Cos this is what you said.
Mrs Stockdale you really are;
The best teacher there ever was!
So this is a special poem for you;
To say thank you, just because…
…Because…
…This is the last day of school,
And you won't be my teacher again,
And I will really miss you Miss;
Cos school just won't be the same!
So thank you for being my teacher,
And thank you for all you do!
And thank you for being so very nice,
And thank you; for being you!
I wanted to tell you I like you a lot,
And I think that you're really cool!
You are the best teacher that there is,
In my St Albans school!
I asked my Nanny to write a special poem,
Especially just for you,
So I can tell you I'll miss you,
And I hope that you might miss me too!
